I've been practicing yoga for many years, but
didn't find Astanga until three years ago when I began my teacher
training with Jonny
Kest. From that day forward, I fell in love with yoga as it
was meant to be! I have never felt so alive and healthy, not even
when I was in my 20's! I'm 42 now and I keep getting younger. I
will go as far as to say, I welcome age - which is saying a lot on
some days!
2008 marks another milestone in my own practice and
my teaching. I returned from India from a three week intensive
yoga teacher training, I am now 400 hrs. certified.
I've overcome many obstacles since I began my
astanga practice, and I'm sure I will overcome many more. We're
all human, which means no one is perfect. Change should be
welcomed, it gives us an opportunity for growth. There are many
wonderful things practicing yoga helps us do.... live in the
present moment, let go, accept change gracefully..... breathe.....
I want to share my passion of yoga with people from
all walks of life. That's why I chose the name "Sangam". It means
confluence; bringing many different cultures together into one
community. In our case, one yogic community.
